Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

GeoAlpha is a geopolitical intelligence platform for Indian mutual fund advisors. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Indian privacy regulations.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: Name, firm name, email address, AMFI ARN number, phone number, and city.
• Usage data: Events you view, analyses you generate, reports you download, and pages you visit.
• Compliance data: Audit trail entries (action type, event title, portfolio type, IP address) required under SEBI regulations.
• Payment data: Subscription status, plan type, billing dates. We do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by Razorpay.
• Communication preferences: Whether you opt in to email digests and WhatsApp alerts.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the GeoAlpha service
• To send morning digest emails and event alerts (if opted in)
• To process subscription payments
• To generate PDF reports with your firm branding
• To maintain SEBI-required audit trails
• To send transactional emails (welcome, trial ending, payment status)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Supabase: Database and authentication (hosted in AWS ap-southeast-1)
• OpenAI: Event titles and summaries are sent to generate AI analysis. No personal advisor data is sent.
• Razorpay: Payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's privacy policy.
• Resend: Email delivery service.
• Twilio: WhatsApp notification delivery (if you opt in).

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Audit trail data is retained for 5 years in compliance with SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013. If you delete your account, personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion of non-compliance data, opt out of marketing communications, and export your audit trail as CSV. Exercise these rights via Settings or by emailing support@geoalpha.in.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, row-level security in our database, and service role key restrictions. Access to production data is limited to authorised personnel.

8. Cookies

GeoAlpha uses session cookies for authentication (via Supabase) and no third-party tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
